We look forward to celebrating the beauty of Cache Valley and Downtown Logan's Historic Center Street District during the Logan City - Top of Utah Marathon. Our BQ race course takes you along the Logan River Trail and Logan River Golf Course, on wide-open country roads and through scenic wetland areas, and all in the shadow of the beautiful Cache National Forest and Wellsville Mountain Range. The weather at 7:10am is typically in the 45-55 degrees range, with always a chance of rain. Locally owned Camp Chef Fire Tables are made available by our sponsor, Urban Trail Racing Series, medical services will be provided by Logan City EMS, and hospitality was provided by Natural Grocers and Pepsi.
Our exciting downtown Logan start and finish on Historic Center Street is a favorite for elite athletes, runners and spectators. We completely close down the city block from 100 West to Main Street, so everyone can safely arrive, race, mingle and eat afterwards, and return to cars parked closely by. Our urban city route provides an open path through the west-side of Logan and Cache Valley, with a course grade at or near 0. All races start and finish on a strait-forward 6-block stretch down Historic Center Street.
For this race, there was no need to wake up at 3:30 am to catch a bus. Everyone will enjoy the frequent support stations, awesome pacers, visible course marshals at every turn, cool photos on the course and finish line, accurate timing and instant race results.
All registered runners will receive a VIP CARD to get FREE fruit bowls, smoothies, coffee and nutritional drinks to refuel after the race. We have incredible race partners!

For the 2020 year race (to comply with COVID-19 public health and safety guidelines) we limited marathon participants to 200 runners. Runners were staged and organized into three physically spaced running chutes, starting groups of 3 runners every 3 seconds. Each runner’s time or clock began when his or her group started. In 2021, we are proceeding with our permitted limit of 1000 elite athletes, runners, and pacers with a Gun Start.
The Support and hydration stations in 2020 also looked new, with 16oz bottled water, prepackaged single serving hydration packets and nutrition, and restrooms were sanitized after each use. If needed in 2021, the Logan City – Top of Utah Marathon, will continue with this format if required to protect the health and safety of our athletes, staff, and spectators. As always, we are dedicated to promoting active lifestyles in a healthy and safe environment.
