Build a Mini Trebuchet!
With help from USU ASME Students, kids will build their own miniature popsicle-stick trebuchets and discover the science behind these amazing medieval machines. They’ll explore ideas like force, motion, levers, balance, and engineering—and, of course, get to see what their creations can do!
🚀 What will kids discover? During this hands-on activity, children will:
🔬 Science in the Community
This activity is part of Science In Vivo, a Science.Events initiative that explores creative ways to bring science experiences into existing community events and cultural settings. Rather than asking families to visit a traditional science venue, Science In Vivo brings opportunities for hands-on science and discovery directly into the places and events where communities already gather. The Giant Pumpkin Festival provides the perfect setting to combine community celebration, creativity, and STEM learning!
