The Cytiva Top of Utah Marathon in Logan Utah, September 19, 2026, is a qualifying race in the 2027 edition of the Abbott World Marathon Majors Championship. The qualifying window for the 2027 Age Group World Championship opened on 1 October 2025 and will close on 30 September 2026, just after the Cytiva Top of Utah Marathon. The World Champs will be held within the 2027 Tokyo Marathon. The 2026 edition of the championships will take place within the 2026 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon on May 24, 2026 with over 1,800 runners competing for the title of World Champion.

For every 5K registration, $12.50 is donated to The Family Place through the marathon. This year, Cytiva is going even further by contributing an additional $10 per 5K entry, bringing even more support to families in our community.

We look forward to celebrating the beauty of Cache Valley and Downtown Logan's Historic District during the Cytiva Top of Utah Marathon. Our BQ race course takes you along the Logan River Trail and Logan River Golf Course, on wide-open country roads and through scenic wetland areas, and all in the shadow of the beautiful Cache National Forest and Wellsville Mountain Range. The weather at 7:10am is typically in the 45-55 degrees range, with always a chance of rain.
Our exciting downtown Logan start and finish is a favorite for elite athletes, runners and spectators. We completely close down the city block from 100 West to Main Street, so everyone can safely arrive, race, mingle and eat afterwards, and return to cars parked closely by. Our urban city route provides an open path through the west-side of Logan and Cache Valley, with a course grade at or near 0.
For this race, there was no need to wake up at 3:30 am to catch a bus. Everyone will enjoy the frequent support stations, awesome pacers, visible course signage at every turn, cool photos on the course and finish line, accurate timing and instant race results.
All registered runners will receive a VIP CARD for a post-race refueler.
